Christmas 2018

It’s a very pretty display and storytelling 
Nana Angie bought them The Shepherds Treasure to do. It’s like Elf on the Shelf, but the shepherd takes them on a journey to find Jesus. 
They named him Snips because he looks like a character from the show Spirit. 

We kicked off Christmas break with the homeschool jump at Area 51 
 Jen and her kids came with us to a Night in Bethlehem. Hudson didn't want to be in the picture.
 The church ladies had a Christmas party with ornament exchange and games. It was a great time at Jennifer's house.
 The children put on a program called "Sing a Song of Christmas" They did a great job even with so many kids.
Hudson was a shepherd and Gianna was an angel 
 We took family pictures with the Russo's after church. Hudson & Gianna had a few moments of crying, but we got through it. A few photos they have red splotchy faces.
 That night we had Christmas caroling around Port Allen. The kids really enjoyed it and throwing candy canes to people.
 Gianna and Grace had a Christmas recital for dance. They had two songs and a finale. It was very crowded and we didn't get close seats.



 We went to Jamie's house for Christmas with my dad where he cooked his famous shrimp stew. We took family pictures again. No one was in the mood for more pictures after that.

The big Russo lunch was the Saturday before Christmas

Uncle VJ teased Josh because he gags when he has to clean an animal
On Sunday December 16th they had a Happy Birthday Jesus party for children's church

 We took pictures with Dillon too while he was here. We got to meet his puppy Dax too.

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
