Summer

June seemed to fly by! I guess that happens when you are having fun. This is some of the things we have been doing so far this summer. They have been doing the sprinkler, hose and slip n slide.

This kid is dangerous with a water balloon. I thought they were a good idea, but they were hard to fill up and then balloon pieces were everywhere. He loved it and somehow balloons kept showing up!
I told ya he was dangerous... got his Daddy and started a water fight
 Their own personal "hot tubs"

Slip n Slide fun

I just got them a little pool last week. I don't know if we are doing the big pool- we had a lot of trouble keeping it clear before.

Hudson went to VBS at Sharon Baptist, where he went to Pre K. It was a water park theme. He had a good time.

I took them to the dollar store at the beginning of summer to stock up on things for them to do. We got bubbles, chalk, hula hoops, water guns, activity books, etc. I think that lasted about a week :)

Hudson playing a sponge target game
He made some really good play doh animals
playing a golf game
Gianna working on a cutting activity

To beat the heat, we did some indoor activities. We have been going to the library for story time and a few of the programs.

Gianna and I went to the youth ballet

It's a superhero theme at the library and Hudson tried on the props

We are doing the reading program and are about half way done

We did Mommy and Me at the Mall two times. They had games, crafts and promoted healthy activities

Gianna and Jetta were afraid of the Chick fil a cow and stayed away

uhh....I don't even know :)

They have had some play dates and sleepovers with cousins

We took a day trip to Lafayette to see Josh's cousin Sarah and her girls

Went for yogurt at Menchies with Nash & Jetta. Hudson
I think Gianna was excited about the pink spoons!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
