Celebrations

We have celebrated quite a few things so far this summer. It's always fun to spend these times with our family.

Emerie's 7th Birthday
We went to Blue Bayou water park for the day. She had a few friends go also. We had lunch and cupcakes in a party room.
It was the first time for our kids and they loved it! I couldn't bring my phone with me because of the water, but I wish I could have captured them. They were riding the water slides and were so brave!

They also have an amusement park with the water park. Hudson was just the right height to go on the big rides. I was so proud of him! (he's on this ride)

We went to my mom's that night for dinner, cake and presents
Then there were baby mice in the garage under a blanket and the kids thought they were adorable. Yuck!!

All of them were holding them and touching them...eek! Nana B got rid of those quick.

Father's Day
We visited my dad the night before Father's Day and had dinner at his house
And attempted to take a group photo....they were hilarious and none were that great :/

I'm thankful to have a great husband and father to my children. Just having a Dad that serves God is awesome in itself. It means so much to me because I didn't have that. Hopefully, one day they will appreciate that too.

They made a video to send to Dillon on his birthday and they were so silly!

 Nana B's birthday dinner

 4th of July
Nash stayed with us the night before and we went to pick out fireworks. We did some that night because Hudson was waiting all week.
Gianna only liked the snaps that you throw on the ground. She went running inside when they started the loud ones
Nash was also not fond of the loud noise
We went to the Russo's house for food and fireworks that afternoon

Hudson is all into it and his eyes lit up while he watched!
Gianna is not in the picture because she ran to the porch crying...maybe one day she will like it
Hudson went with Grace to watch the big show on the levee

Nash's 5th birthday party
Nash had a superhero birthday party at the splash park
They played a few superhero games

They went through a little obstacle course

Played heroes and villains with silly string. They divided into two teams and sprayed each other.

He had a really cute cake and there is G right near the action :)

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
