Someone gave us two more chickens at the end of May. They are Barred Rock chickens, but the kids call them zebra chickens because it looks like they have black and white stripes. Gianna named one Zoe and Hudson named the other Ellie.
They lay brown colored eggs. We haven't been getting many eggs lately though. I guess the heat is affecting them.
Gianna took to the chickens fast and loves to hold them and "play" with them. She is a little country girl. She will get in the coop and change out their food and water.
She wants them to be like her pets so bad.
When Nash was over one day he caught a brown chicken-they are the easiest to catch.
Jen wanted to catch one when she came too. Now it's like a joke for people to come and hold a chicken
Aunt Donna even held one when she came to get eggs
Hudson finally got brave and held one a couple weeks ago! He has been so scared to try.
We watched my sister's dog for a weekend when they went out of town. Hudson and Gianna were so excited!
They walked her and took her to the bathroom and attended to her constantly. They wanted to take a lot of pictures with her. They also fought over who would hold the leash, etc.
She slept with Hudson at night and he was so happy. She is a good dog, but I don't think they are ready for a dog yet.
We decided to try the goldfish again. The ones at Christmas died and we never replaced them. I took them last week and they each picked out one.
We got a new tank and set it up together.
Gianna got the small goldfish and named it Jewel. Hudson has the big black and gold one and named it Goldie Black :)
