Summer Comes to an End

My brother came back down for his reunion and we had lunch with him.
He always tries to get a picture with the kids. They are getting better!
The summer seems to pass by so fast! We got to do a few more fun things. Jennifer invited us to science museum one day. It's a nice inside activity on hot days.

They like the older kid room with science experiments. Gianna was having a problem sharing this game and we had to go out a few times.
Hudson went to VBS at the baptist church right by our house. He saw it was a spy theme when we would pass and asked to go. We were happy that he would get to experience VBS. He had a lot of fun!
We were proud of him for going even though he didn't know anyone. My aunt and uncle were there and kept an eye on him. He teared up the first night, but wanted to go back. On the last night all of the family went to watch the closing program.
We went to Menchies for yogurt one night with Jamie and the girls. This was the first time for my kids. They had fun picking out the toppings. Hudson and Emerie wanted to sit by themselves.
So, Gianna and Leilynn had a table alone. Leilynn paid for ours with her gift card. How grown up is she?!

Nana and Papa took all the grandkids to Chuck E Cheese. Hudson wanted to go before school started. Gianna was scared by Chuck E when he passed by and ran to the door.

They had a great time playing games and doing rides.

Some of the pictures from the photo booth

We heard they had these new animal rides to rent at the mall. We went this week and the kids rode them. They were big enough for two people to ride together.
It's like a big stuffed animal on wheels. It was cute and they had fun driving and riding.

Josh played baseball with the kids the other evening. Gianna was out there running after the ball and throwing.

Hudson hits pretty good. He might play t-ball next spring.
Josh hopes Gianna will be athletic unlike her Mom :)

Hudson starts kindergarten tomorrow at a new school.
He got new shoes and a hair cut to get ready. He is excited about having new running shoes.

At church, we prayed for the kids that are starting school. Praying he has a good first day.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
