Spring is here!

It's nice to have some warmer weather now, hopefully it won't get hot too quick. We have been spending more time outside and the longer days help too. We tried to walk a few times, but the kids want to get out of the stroller and run/walk themselves.
 stopped and pick some flowers
The first snowballs of the season were blue raspberry for Hudson and strawberry for Gianna. They put a sour worm on top and they thought it was great.
Gianna can not eat hers in the car again. She spilled it the second she got it!
I took them to the playground one day for lunch and play time. This boy is so goofy!

Gianna can do the big slides now and do it all by herself
We had a lot of rain and it's hard to keep a car clean on a gravel road. My car was really dirty, so the kids and I washed it.
Josh usually washes the vehicles, but he has been busy. It's a lot of work, so I see why I let him do it ;)
It was fun and kept the kids busy for a long time. We didn't do as well as Josh, but we got it pretty clean.
Hudson was off of school, so we were able to go with Jennifer, Grace and Kaden to the zoo. The last time we went was in August. They wouldn't get close to the tiger for a picture. My kids don't really like to take pictures, so it is what it is.
It was beautiful weather. It warmed up from the morning, we could have worn shorts.
All the small animals were "babies" to Hudson and Gianna
We enjoyed the day with them. They switched up riding together between their wagon and our stroller.
The peacocks came close while we were eating lunch. Gianna was feeding them bread.
Hudson wants to know the names of the animals. I had to go look at the board for a lot of them :)
Gianna liked the flamingos because they are pink. Pink is her favorite color right now.

The playground and train ride ended the day.

It was fun and they were tired by the time we left. Although they didn't fall asleep in the car on the way home like I thought.

I'm sure we will have more days of playing outside while blowing bubbles and writing with chalk among other things.

she had chalk all on her face

Recital

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
