Rodeo & Pumpkin Patch

We did some family activities a couple weekends ago. One was the rodeo that comes to Port Allen. Hudson has liked bull riding since he was little.

The kids dressed in their cowboy and cowgirl attire.

They have the a fun thing for the kids to do during the rodeo. The kids chase a calf to get the ribbon off of it's tail. Hudson said he wanted to do it. He went down in the arena and chased the calf!
Here is a video of all the little kids chasing the calf. Hudson never got close to it, but he had fun!

Pumpkin Patch
We went out to the pumpkin patch in Hammond, which we have been to before. The last time we went as a family, Hudson was 18 months old. We were definitely due for a trip.

Hudson got his face painted, but Gianna wouldn't get close to the lady.
They have a whole bunch of activities to do and we did almost everything.

Hudson is doing better with taking pictures, but Gianna is not. I don't push the issue too much. I hope she gets better soon.
These are the cutest horse tire swings

Everyone took a walk on the nature trail

Hudson was making a "corn angel"

She stayed doing this slide for a good 15 minutes I think
Hudson did the zip line a few times and really liked it

Gianna picked about 5 and I had to put them all back.
It was a pretty day with family fun

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
