Both the kids were sick about two weeks ago and they went to the doctor. Hudson had a cold and both ears infected and Gianna just had a cold. Hudson missed two days of school. After a week of taking care of them, I'm glad they are doing well again.
Hudson - 4 years, 7 months
Hudson really likes to do a fire and asks Josh all the time if they can build one. A few weeks ago the weather was cold and Josh set up the tent and built a fire. The plan was for them to sleep in the tent that night. Hudson was all excited and set up to sleep, but as bed time approached he kept making excuses to come inside. Finally, at 10:30 p.m. he decided to sleep inside and left Josh sleeping in the tent alone!
* He falls asleep in the car if he missed nap time. He is about to move to a booster seat too.
* he is hesitant to try new foods and says, "that's yuck!" He usually likes it after he tries it. He just started liking green beans and eats more meat. His favorite snacks are popcorn and boiled peanuts.

* He still calls Grace, "boo boo" and tells Gianna to do the same. He knows she loves tomatoes and wants to give her some for Christmas.
* he likes school and is doing well. He got his first progress report in October where his teacher said he was a joy to have in class and always obedient.
* He is doing a lot of things on his own now like getting dressed, taking a bath, buckling up, brushing teeth, fixing a drink. He still needs supervision and motivation most of the time.
* He likes to joke and kid around and still has a little bit of a mischievous spirit. He is a little boy in so many ways like laughing at gross stuff and thinking it's funny to say potty words.

* He is asking why? and how? about things, wanting to know how things work, etc. Sometimes I don't have the answers to all of his questions, so it is interesting when we have those conversations.
Here are a few things he has said:
"I'm not scared of thunder anymore because God will take care of me."
"Gianna, you have made a horrible mess!"
"Look both ways when you cross the street and hold hands."
Mom: "why are you waking up so early?"
Hudson: "because that's what men do."
Hudson: "because that's what men do."
"mom, when I hit my spoon on the counter that means I need something."
Gianna - 2 years, 3 months
She is very talkative and speaks pretty clearly. Her vocabulary is growing and she is absorbing all kinds of information. She hears me going over letters and sounds with Hudson and she is learning as well.
* she is a mama's girl
*brings baby dolls or stuffed animals everywhere she goes and sleeps with them for her nap and night time
* asks if we can go shopping
* wants to do things by herself
* she is a good eater and her snacks right now are grapes, cheese and nuts
*she is more outgoing than Hudson and not as shy to people
*starting to be a showman and pretends to announce things
* goes on the potty about once a day, so I will probably get serious about that soon
* helps vacuum, clean and pick up around the house
*her and Hudson are sweet to each other most of the time, they have their moments of fighting
* she repeats what Hudson says and does (which is a little scary)
Some of the things she has said:
Mom: "do you need help?"
Gianna: "no, I'm fine."
"excuse me, coming through"
"bye, I see you later."
"It's not scary, it all be fine."
"sorry guys"
When she doesn't want to do something she says she doesn't need that anymore like, " I don't need take a nap anymore" or "I don't need eat lunch anymore."
