Gianna & Hudson summaries

Gianna - 2 months

Gianna is already 2 months old! She is not a newborn anymore :( I've been putting up her newborn clothes and it's always a little sad when I do it for Hudson and now I have to do it for her. I am enjoying her so much. I think I can enjoy her a little more since this is my second time around doing the baby thing. It's been stressful at times, but it doesn't come with the anxiety of being a first time mom. Overall, Gianna has been a good baby and very happy. This is what's going on with her.

-wears 0-3 months or 3 month clothes
-about to move to size 2 diapers
-takes 2 hour naps
-starts her night at 12:30 then sleeps 5-6 hours (she had gone 7 hours straight, but then went back to sleeping less)
-smiles and coos when people talk to her
-starting to reach for things
-trying to roll to her side
-sucks on her hands
-likes to cuddle
-sometimes rubs her eyes when sleepy

At the park, watching Hudson play

She had her 2 month appointment on the 21st. She weighed 11 lbs 15 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. Both are in the 75th percentile.

She has a little eczema on her face and some heat rash on her upper body. It's not really bad, but it flares up some. Her tear duct cleared up at the end of the September, so no more gunky eye! She checked out great and is growing well.

Hudson - 2 1/2 years
Since Hudson just made a half a year birthday, I thought it was a good time to do an update on him.

-talks a lot more since he turned 2. He says full sentences and can really communicate well. There are still times where we can't understand him.
-tried potty training in June, but it wasn't successful. He is just not interested right now.
- favorite shows are Diego, Peppa Pig, Olivia ( he has a thing for pigs right now)
-loves chocolate milk (drinks light soy milk mostly)
- likes bull riding, his cowboy hat and wearing boots
-asks to play outside everyday

-plays well by himself with blocks, trucks, animals
-does pretend play like cooking, tea party with his girl cousins

-wants to be a baby sometimes

-likes to help clean the house

-has been mischevious lately with making messes and coloring on cabinets

-likes coloring (which is supervised, but a crayon was left out and led to the cabinet incident)

-likes playing his guitar, drums and praising during church and at home

-has a sweet tooth like his mom :) Had his first Dairy Queen experience.

The kids keep me busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
