July 2023

It's been a very hot summer! Hudson wanted to do something nice for the delivery drivers. We bought some drinks and fruit cups and set up an ice chest on the front porch. We had a few people take something. I was proud of him for the idea!
Making homemade pizzas
We took the kids to the LSU Dairy Store for ice cream

I wanted them to recreate a picture from when Gianna was a baby
Went to see Mike the Tiger and showed the kids our brick
My mom celebrating Hudson's birthday late

Fishing at the camp
Jen took the kids to do some stuff like Top Golf and bowling
Lunch and swimming at Jamie's house

Josh worked a lot in the beginning of the year! The plant's regular outage was supposed to be November- March. It went through July.  Around April 25th he started working nights until July 5th. We didn't see him a lot during those months. I was consumed with VBS for most of the summer also. We decided to do a family trip to Ponchatoula for 2 nights on July 26th.
We stopped in downtown Ponchatoula and looked in a few shops. We bought some strawberry lemonade and jam.
We booked a cabin at Fireside RV Resort
It was a cute little cabin
They had a lazy river and pool
There was a pond for fishing. Which is where Hudson spent most of his time. It was nice that he could walk back and forth to the cabin or pool area.
Josh cooked some burgers and pastalaya for dinners
The campground didn't have a lot to do, but it was nice to relax for a few days

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
