December 2020

We decorated around the house for Christmas on December 1
Josh and Hudson put some lights on the house the next day. Josh likes it to be cold when putting up lights. 
Josh and I were going on a lunch date on December 4th. Right before we left Port Allen at the red light, a man said water was pouring from my Yukon. The radiator was cracked. We pulled in the Auto Zone parking lot and waited for a tow truck to come. Josh bought a new radiator and fixed it later that day. We still were able to go to lunch. 
Gianna had trouble with the eye chart at her well check with the pediatrician. She recommended that she see an eye doctor for an exam. She got a slight prescription for glasses for near sided. 

We went and picked out some glasses. She was totally fine with getting glasses. It's not that she needs them all the time, but she thinks it's cool to wear them. 
Entergy had a dinner in Metairie for the employees on December 10th. We decided to stay overnight since it would be done late. I've always wanted to see The Roosevelt Hotel at Christmas time, so we went to see it the next day. It was very pretty!
We had coffee in the café 
Decorated gingerbread houses. Hudson wasn't playing around with the icing and hot glued his houses together. 
The kids hosted a movie night with service for me

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
