Christmas 2020

Christmas was very different this year since Josh had Covid. We missed Christmas caroling, Christmas program, a party and our family plans. My side of the family cancelled all of the gatherings. Since Josh's family already had corona in October they were able to take our kids.

On Christmas Eve, we were at the ER and they were opening presents. They tried to wait for us, but I said it was fine to go ahead and open gifts. The kids needed something good to take their mind off of Josh. They sent us pictures.

Maw Ella gave them gift cards

Model car from Cadie
Ballerina doll from Cadie
iPhone from Nana & Papa. Gianna was so excited!
The kids came home that night. Christmas morning Josh was able to watch them open their gifts and went right back to bed
Gianna got a laptop and star stable
Hudson got an accubow and mini bike
Camo had some toys too
Jennifer picked them up to go back for lunch on Christmas Day
The guys were able to put Hudson's bike together so he could ride it
Cadie FaceTimed me so I could see him riding. He was so excited!
Camo keeping me company at home. I sent this to the kids while they were gone. They stayed at Nana's or with Jennifer a few days to help keep them occupied. We were sad to miss Christmas and Josh kept saying he was ruining the holidays for everyone. We were glad that our kids got to have some normalcy and fun.
We went to Nana & Papa's on New Years Eve to do fireworks
Our neighbor popped some big fireworks for us the next night

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
