Start of Summer

We went to see the hurricane hunters plane at the BR Airport.

We toured the inside of the airplane and they told us how they gather information from a hurricane.

The news channels were out there and they made the news special
We decided to get chickens again, most of ours had died over time. This time we got chicks that were about 2-3 weeks old.

We tried keeping them in a kennel in the garage, but they were so messy that we put them out in the coop after a few days.

Hudson built them a ramp to get in and out of the box
Papa gave us two brown chickens that are the same age and they are getting along fine
We haven't had a pool in a few summers. We took it out and it had a big rip in the bottom liner. We prayed and God provided us the means to buy a pool!
Everyone helped to set it up

They are enjoying it and have been swimming a lot! It has been nice for them to cool off and have something to do.

Gianna got bit by a water bug and Hudson was hugging her while I got some sting relief.

Gianna and I watched Jules one afternoon. Gianna is a good little babysitter and plays well with her.
We are going to some of the library programs. Josh brought the kids to a drone demonstration one evening.

We saw the Baton Rouge mounted police

This was a drum and dance show. The kids went up to learn a dance at the end.
They made it on their Instagram

Gianna was excited to see a miniature horse named Knox who wears sneakers. They made a picture frame before meeting him.

Grace and Kaden came over one afternoon to swim

Gianna helped to shuck fresh corn
Trying the new self check out at Sam's. It's fun to scan items.

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
