April & Easter

We went to the Louisiana Stae Police safety expo on April 1st. We watched several K9 demonstrations.
The kids sat in a helicopter and Hudson was being silly.

They also had motorcycle demonstrations
This was the robot that helps with bombs. It grabbed Josh's crutch.

Hudson and Grace went through the smoke house to practice getting out of a fire

This is a friend who is a state trooper and has a K9 in narcotics.

Gianna petting the dog who sniffs for bombs
Later that day we went by the kite fest for a little while

Jamie is expecting a baby and is due May 31st. We had a sprinkle for her since it's been almost 9 years since she had a little one. They didn't find out the gender, so we are all anxious!

The kids had a spring concert at school on April 13th.

You can see that Gianna is the performer in the family 😊

We had a crawfish boil on Good Friday
Saturday we went to Nana B's for egg decorating, hunting and games

They got some goodies in their baskets
These glasses were hilarious!

The kids were out of school the week after Easter. We watched our cousin Grayson one day. He loved being outside and Hudson was keeping a close watch over him.

I took Gianna to the playground one afternoon. Hudson wanted to stay home with Josh.

Gianna had dance class on Tuesday and we shopped for Hudson's birthday present before class.
Gianna likes to ride in the go cart now
Hudson lathering baby soap on him for the slip n slide.

Emerie came spend the night when Leilynn was with a friend.
Hudson helped me work in the flower beds, but did not want to take his picture. He was a big help! He brought the mulch on a dolly and would throw the bags away.

My Granny Lois turned 90 on April 24th. They gave her a party on the Saturday before. She was picked up in a 1927 (the year she was born) Chevy car and brought to the party.

It is special to have shared so many years with Granny!

I'm waiting on my cousin to share better pictures from a camera and I will add later.
My dad and siblings

The grandkids- 3 were not there

The great grandkids ( 5 not there and 2 on the way) and 1 great great grand daughter (her sister missing)

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
