November 2016

Gianna had Zoo Day on November 4th. This is where seniors at school are big buddies to the kindergartners. She had three seniors assigned to her- Maddie, John Ross and Austin. They got her gifts, a water bottle and snacks for the day.

They treated her like a princess!

I went as a chaperone and I was so glad I did because she got stung by a bee at lunch! I ran with her all the way to the front of the zoo to get sting relief. She cried and was upset, but she recovered to finish the day.

Hudson and Gianna went to a corn maze with Grace and Kaden. They had a fun time.

Hudson had his Thanksgiving feast on Thursday and Gianna on Friday before the break. Josh and I went both days and had lunch with them.

During their week off, we went to the zoo with Jennifer, Grace and Kaden. Hudson wanted to go since Gianna had went on the field trip.

It was a really pretty day to be outside

We went to Lowe's after to look for an artificial tree. We have been doing real trees for 10 years, but decided to make the switch. The kids wanted to know if they could still look at the real ones. We got one that looks pretty real. Hudson and I carried it out together.
The kids helped make pecan pies for Thanksgiving. They are so silly!
The night before Thanksgiving we went to Nana & Papa's to make a craft and play games.

The kids made a cute snowman light with a mason jar

They had Pie Face for them to play, but only Hudson and Grace would play.

Gianna and Kaden just watched and laughed. Gianna hasn't been into games where it puts you on the spot.

The adults played Speak Out, which was hilarious! Josh and I were on a team. It was hard to guess at first, but then we got a few right.

Thanksgiving with my family and a silly one

We went to my Granny's house to pick pecans the day after Thanksgiving. It was the kids first time doing that.

Hudson didn't stick with it too long

We had lunch outside and got to visit with my Dad and Granny. I'm glad the kids shared something we did as kids too.

Hudson started getting interested in hunting and Josh wanted to give him the opportunity to try it out. Some friends invited them to hunt on their land a few times. They went 3 mornings of the Thanksgiving break.

Papa leased some land in Greensburg for all the guys to hunt on. The weekend after Thanksgiving was our first time to go out there. The kids like to play, shoot guns and build fires.

We started to look for a camper to have a place to stay when we go. After a week we found a good used one. Hudson and Gianna were so excited! We drove over an hour to pick it up.

Papa and Josh hooking it up to take home

We parked it in Greensburg for hunting season. Hopefully, we will get to take a few trips other places during the year.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
