Fall

Gianna was so excited about fall! She couldn't wait for the first day of fall because it's her favorite season.

Hudson played the fall soccer season with Josh back coaching this year. This was his 4th year playing. 


 
 It was Kaden's first year to play and we enjoyed watching his team of little kids. They are too cute at that age!

Gianna had apple breakfast at school. They learned all about Johnny Appleseed and apples leading up to it. 

 They sang a song after we ate



 One of her friends, Sam. Kindergarten has 17 boys and only 4 girls, so some of her good friends are boys.

We went to the sugar fest the first weekend in October. They enjoyed petting the animals. 


Gianna tried washing the clothes after the lady demonstrated. 

It was quite warm that day waiting for the train! 
Port Allen celebrated its centennial with a night parade
 
 
 
They didn't have very many lighted floats, but the kids still had fun 
 
For homecoming week, the kids dressed up in a theme everyday. Their favorite holiday was Christmas. 
Gianna did princess day, Hudson did not want to dress up like a prince 
The last day ended with a parade and they got candy and trinkets. 

Grandparents Day at school was October 19th. Nana, Papa and Nana B attended the program. Thankful for Godly grandparents in their lives.!
 


 

They love to ride in the Jeep and we did have some nice days to do so 
 
Hudson can drive a Rhino by himself, but I suggested Josh still ride with him. Maybe I just don't want him to be so grown up 😢 I will say he is a good driver. 
 
We went to the fall fest at school. They had food and games for the kids

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
