May

May was a very busy month!! We went crawfishing for the first time in Ramah. Well, it was the first time for the kids and myself.
Gianna started out excited about it, but then not so much. She didn't want to walk in the water. It was muddy and your feet stuck to the bottom making it hard to walk. I actually lost a shoe!

Hudson was the most into it and was really helping

It was hot and the kids wanted to sit in the shade and eat snacks
We got to cook them the next day

We went to the school fair at Nash's school. Grace and Kaden came along too. Everyone rode most of the rides.

It was a fun afternoon and some were not ready to leave

Hudson had his end of the year party the last week of school. We had summer themed photo props.

 Last day of 1st grade - May 19, 2016
We went to his awards program on the last day. He had AB Honor Roll all year.
His teacher Mrs. Rose- she is very sweet and we loved her

He had a great year and we are so proud of him! Second grade he comes...
That afternoon, we went back crawfishing with Jamie, Luke and the girls.
Jamie and Luke were really excited about trying it out

We were more prepared this time with a blanket and lots of snacks
We didn't catch as many that time
Gianna even got in the water and helped!
 crazy kids!
Everyone went fishing at Old River on a Sunday afternoon. Hudson had been asking to fish, but we didn't catch anything.

Then we went and tried fishing in the boat together and that didn't go so well. The kids and myself were getting caught on everything so Josh was quite aggravated! Making memories though...

We came back on the afternoon of Memorial Day to go to my mom's. She had a surprise for the kids- an inflatable slip n slide!
Josh and Luke soaped up the kids and threw them down the slide. They had a great time!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
