Beach Trip 2016

We went on the family vacation with the Russo's on May 3rd. Everyone else left on Sunday and we left Tuesday afternoon. School wasn't out yet, so we didn't want Hudson to miss the whole week.
Gianna slept on the way and Hudson occupied himself, but they did ask "how much longer?" like 100 times!
We went straight to dinner at The Gulf to meet up with them.
We got all settled in and all the kids kept hanging out in our room :)
Ready to hit the beach

They were into the sand and we could stay out on the beach for a while

Papa trying to catch crabs, but it wasn't working out too well
The water apparently got cooler when we got there ;( It was pretty chilly, but it didn't stop the kids from getting in
Gianna would be so cold when she got out and wanted to go to the hot tub, but we had her stay and warm up
They had fun riding the waves
There were a lot of dolphin sightings, which is exciting for everyone to see

 sandcastle building

They did get to do the hot tub and pool. It was a small hot tub, but they were all in at one time trying to swim.

The kids were very good and played well together
At The Wharf one night for dinner

The kids had fun dancing to the music and light show

After dark, we all headed to the beach with flash lights to catch sand crabs
They split up into teams, girls vs. boys

The boys won, but it was close

Gianna was picking them up with her hands, but Hudson had to use the net.

We had never done that before and it was a lot of fun.
Taking walks on the beach and looking for shells

Pretty sunset on the way home one night

We went to The Track to ride go carts, do rides and play games in the arcade
Gianna started crying because she wanted to ride with Josh, but Hudson was already with him. She had fun anyway.

Hudson could drive the kiddie carts, which went way slow

Gianna got to ride with Josh on the regular track
 Hudson rode with Cadie

The kids played a lot of games...

and got a bunch of tickets

We stopped at the souvenir shops before we headed home

It went by fast, but we had a great time! Thankful to my in laws for giving us the chance to make memories together and for Jennifer who planned it.

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
