On the Thursday before Easter we went to school for the Easter party and egg hunt. Gianna helped the moms hide the eggs.
Off they went...
Each kid was to get 12 eggs and stop so it would be fair
They were excited about the camo eggs!
Then we went to eat lunch in the cafeteria
We stayed for chapel where the third graders put on a skit
For worship, all the kids are welcome to come in the front and dance. Hudson and Gianna were right up in the mix. I was very proud of them!
Gianna dancing with some girls from Hudson's class
On Good Friday we went to Nana & Papa's for a fish fry and some fishing
Gianna isn't afraid to touch the fish- she wants to hold it
We went to my mom's house on Saturday for an egg hunt and games.
Everyone got coins, candy and gift cards in their eggs
Hudson playing ring toss
Nana B got it while on Hudson's head!
they also did some crafts
Josh boiled some crawfish and shrimp- they were very good!
The kids played bean boozled and the adults took one turn each. Most people got a good jelly bean. It was funny to watch.
Easter Sunday we went to church and then had lunch at the Russo's
Then Hudson had the next week off of school. He wanted to go to the zoo. My sisters, nieces and nephew came along too.
We rented a stroller for the younger girls, but it caused many arguments through out the day because they were all getting tired and wanted to ride in it
Hudson and Nash in front of the alligator
Gianna feeding a swan
Flamingos are still Gianna's favorite animal
Leilynn leading them in a dance
We thought it was an otter feeding, but the otters only came out for a minute and went back to sleep. The kids were disappointed.
Petting a donkey in the petting zoo
They all liked brushing the goats
It was a very fun day!
We planted a vegetable garden in our back yard. Josh made the raised box last year and then it got too late to plant anything.
So, after tilling and letting the dirt dry out we were ready to plant.
We have jalapenos, bell peppers and tomatoes in plants. Then in seeds we did cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, spinach and lettuce.
The kids like to water and check on the plants. I think we are losing one bell pepper plant, but everything else is coming along.
Day 15 (zucchini)
I bought Gianna a kite that week and it was destroyed in a few days. I thought there was a kite making station, but it looked like it cost so we didn't do it.
Thankfully, Grace and Kaden shared their kites
Hudson waiting in line to do a parachute race
They put a harness on him with a parachute that fills with air when you run
Of course, we had to visit the inflatable area
A man was doing bubbles with soap and they thought that was so fun. They chased bubbles all around the field.
A fun afternoon with family
