Christmas 2015

Our Christmas festivities started a few days before Christmas at my Dad's house. He cooks the best shrimp stew! He was reading a book to the girls. 


 They got media chairs that would go with their gift from us
Josh was going hunting at the camp on the 23rd and then he asked us to go with him kind of last minute. This is Hudson after we told him we were going!
 Josh went out the next morning to scout the area and then came back to get Hudson. 
 It was Hudson's first time to hunt and be in a deer stand. They didn't see any deer, but saw some squirrels and a nutra rat. He loved it and looks forward to going again. 

Gianna got to go for a ride on the 4 wheeler with them.
 That night, on Christmas Eve we opened gifts at Nana & Papa's house. Gianna got some princess dolls and a robot dog. 
 Hudson got a Nintendo DS and a hunting bow.

 Kaden and Hudson are very into guns and have fun together with them
 The girls loved the houses and I know they will have so much fun playing with them

Christmas morning didn't go as we had planned. We got a few small gifts for the kids and a big family gift. I ordered a TV, Xbox and game to make the play room like a media room. The night before Josh took the stuff out of the box to set up for Christmas morning so it would be ready for them to try out, He set the TV up, turned it on and the screen was shattered!! 
Then we opened up the other box and the game and other controller were missing. They were never delivered! So we were very upset about it... I wrapped the boxes and then we explained to them what happened. They were a little confused, but Josh set it up in the living room and they were fine with it
.



We had lunch back at Nana & Papa's then opened  gifts at Maw Ella's.

We went to my mom's house that night for dinner, presents and our annual game hosted by Dillon. 

I have no idea what they are doing??
My brother gave me a new Keurig machine because mine was about to go out.

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
