Addis celebrated their 100th birthday this month. My Dad's family is from Addis and my Granny was getting a certificate at the opening ceremony.
She was recognized as the oldest living female native of Addis. She is a life long resident, she was the town clerk and has been a member of the historical society. Her dad also worked for the railroad.

dressed like twins that day
We stayed after the ceremony to hang out and let the kids do some activities
They had food, snowballs and a lot of things for the kids. They got to ride the train, carousel, get balloon animals and their faces painted.

In the VFW hall they had cake, characters taking pictures, photo spots and photo albums to look through.
On the way out, we stopped at the museum, which was once a bank and post office
Leilynn told them to run like they are catching the train- so funny
It was a good day and nice weather. I love history and enjoyed getting to learn more about the town that my Rivet side is from.
