RocketKidz 2015

Hudson did the kid's triathlon again this year and Gianna was old enough to do it for the first time. We got there before 7 am to set up in the transition area.

Leilynn showing them how to stretch before the race

Gianna about to line up for the swim

Josh did the race along side of her. She wore floaties and she swam by herself most of the way.

She was waving at us on her way out to the bike
On the bike, she was looking to the side and smiling- she was having a good time
All the kids running along the side of her and cheering her on

Leilynn stayed with her during the run

 Proud Daddy moment

Proud of Gianna for finishing and not stopping!

Hudson lined up for the swim

He was swimming along and then we saw him take off his goggles and he was crying. We think people were passing him and he thought he wasn't doing well, so he got upset.
Josh went over and talked to him for a minute and he got it together and kept going! I felt so bad for him, but proud that he didn't quit.

Here he is on the bike course

The only video I took was Hudson coming back from the bike. I wish I would have taken more, but we were running from each transition to watch.

In the transition to start the run

He lost some time on the swim, but he did well on the bike and run. So proud of him and he finished strong!

Now, we have two Rocketkidz!!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
