We took a Russo family cruise to Mexico in May. It was actually the last week of school, but not much was going on so Hudson missed.
The kids rode together with Nana and Papa. We heard they were good.
We took the scenic route which included a ferry ride. Which was a first for the kids and myself. We spotted Dolphins jumping in the water.
Once on board, we checked out the ship. The mini golf was a favorite for the kids.
In our room, we did bunks for our kids. Hudson was excited about sleeping on the top bunk. They had trouble going to sleep many times because they were so excited about the vacation. They were full of energy the whole time!
There was a towel animal on the bed at night when we came back from dinner. Gianna was more excited about it than Hudson.
They had towel animals all out on the deck one morning. Gianna and Grace helped pick them up.
We went to a towel folding class where they taught us how to make a few animals. Ours did not come out that great.
The ship had 3 pools and a big water slide.
Josh and the kids about to slide for the first time.
Hudson loved it and did it over and over.
Gianna liked it, but only went a few times.
Hudson ate so many ice cream and frozen yogurt cones during the trip we couldn't keep track!
Ice carving demonstration on the lido deck.
Josh also had his share of ice cream, but he loved the tacos and burritos the most.
In the dining room, the waiters entertained us with napkin tricks, singing and dancing.
Formal night
On day 3, we got off in Cozumel, Mexico. It was so bright the kids couldn't open their eyes. We walked around a bit and shopped right there by the dock.
Hudson kept asking me, "is this the real Mexico?". He was trying to understand being in a different country because he knew it was far from home.

Some iguanas were hiding in the rocks
The water is so pretty and we let the kids put their feet in and play in the sand some.
The kids went to camp carnival a few times during the trip and really liked it. They didn't want to leave at times.
They did crafts, games, face painting and movies. Hudson won 2 medals for a game and treasure hunt.
It was a fun time with family and we are glad we get to do vacations together. The kids had a blast! Hudson wanted to know why we couldn't stay longer.
On the day we left Gianna got sick with fever and she threw up twice. Thankfully, it was the last day and not during the cruise. One good thing is that she slept a lot on the ride home.
Back in Galveston, the kids wanted to pull their own luggage
Had to do a tire change in Texas on the way back-7 hours later we were home! Hudson had a disposable camera on the cruise, so I need to develop those and see what pictures he took :)
