Easter and Spring Break

Easter 2015
The kids did an egg hunt at my mom's house. Leilynn hid the eggs and helped Jetta and Gianna during the hunt.

Hudson found the most eggs- they were falling out of his basket when he ran
The eggs had coins, dollar bills, candy or toys in them
Gianna found the golden egg with $5 inside!
Then we dyed eggs with a jungle theme

Getting more goodies on Easter morning
Easter Sunday at church

Hudson had a week off of school after Easter.
We went to the zoo one afternoon from 3-5 pm for a discounted price. We had invited some friends/cousins, but no one could make it. It was a nice afternoon with just me and the kids.

Cooling off with the misting fan

We watched the "Running of the Ducks" which we haven't seen before. The ducks run from outside through the barn and into their pen. It was cute!

Brushing the sheep in the petting zoo

2 hours is not enough time, so we didn't make it to see everything, but we saw their favorites.

Grace and Kaden came over one day to play. They played outside most of the time, but also colored, painted and played bingo.

Kaden follows Hudson around and does everything Hudson does. They loved having them over.
Everyone got dirty, but Kaden got the most mud on him.
Josh was off on Friday so we had lunch together and then they rode bikes

We ended the week with Grace's birthday. She had a cute fiesta party.

On Sunday, we went with her to the Kite Fest, which was a wash out. It was wet, muddy and our kids were crying because their kites wouldn't fly. Glad we got to spend time with Grace on her birthday anyway.

Recital

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
