Christmas 2014

Christmas with the extended Russo's was the first of our Christmas gatherings.

There are plenty of cousins to play with when we get together
We decorated gingerbread houses at Jamie's house. Josh and Luke had to construct them because they were falling apart!

The kids split up into two teams and worked on the houses

The little kids just wanted to eat the candy
The final product!

We made and decorated cookies at home

Christmas Eve at Nana & Papa's:
Gianna was the most excited when opening gifts. She was also happy when the others would get something.
patiently waiting their turn...

Hudson was more chill and didn't get very excited. He was trying to play it cool in front of everyone.

Then he was very surprised to get a tablet!

The kids went outside to try out their new remote control cars

Christmas morning:

The kids were asking everyday if it was Christmas yet, so they were pretty excited! Gianna is still learning about the true meaning of Christmas. At first she thought it was all about presents, but she learned a lot during the 12 days of Christmas that Grace and Kaden gave them.
Josh read the Christmas story before we opened presents
Gianna was so fun to watch this year! She loved everything she got.
Here is Gianna getting excited about her Cinderella doll
Even though Huddy wasn't overly excited when opening presents, I was proud of him because he was happy about everything he got and didn't complain about anything.
We gave them two goldfish because they have been asking for a pet. They were pretty happy about it, but they died two days later ;(  Mom and Dad didn't treat the water, lesson learned!
Their big gift was a go cart
It even has a horn!

Christmas Day:

We had lunch at the Russo's

That night we were at my mom's house and Dillon was in town for the week.

We played the newly wed game for the second year. Dillon was the host and Leilynn kept the score.

Jen and Todd were the first place winners. The newbies to the game and they won!
Josh and I got second place and got a prize too. It was a very fun night.
A few of the kids stayed and had a sleepover with Dillon.

Hudson was off the week after Christmas, so we played the new games and toys they got.
Go Fish!

Minnie Mouse bingo

Doc McStuffins dress up

New Years:

Josh and I had a little stomach bug earlier in the day, so we were planning on staying home. Josh got fireworks for Hudson to do.

Gianna tried wearing ear muffs to watch, but she was still scared and went inside.
The kids really wanted to go to Nana & Papa's because we had already told them about it. We were feeling okay, so we went.
Gianna stayed inside pretty much the whole time because she is scared of fireworks. Kaden ended up coming out.
It was very cold that night and we stayed by the fire. I wish Gianna could get over her fear so she could have fun with us. Maybe next year ;)

Mom wanted to try out her new selfie remote

Happy New Year! I'm thankful for all that God has done for us and blessed to have another year and be with my family.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
