Orange Beach 2014

We were able to go on the family beach trip with the Russo's again this year. This is the first time our family could go for the entire time. We were looking forward to it and the days went by pretty fast.

Grace rode in our car on the way there. Gianna was the only one who slept while Hudson and Grace talked and sang songs.
Our condo was waaay up on the 28th floor! It was a really nice and new place with a couple of pools and splash pad.
The water was pretty cold, so our kids wanted to stay inside at the indoor pool and hot tubs. They loved the hot tubs.

We bribed them with candy to stay outside, so we could get some sun :)

Hudson "laying" out

Everyone did the lazy river a few times, even with the water being cold.
Jennifer and Cadie fixed Gianna's hair straight one night. She looked very different and much older, but really cute.
It started curling back by the end of the night.
We walked to the beach a couple times, but didn't stay for a long time. The kids didn't stay in one place for long.
G girl is always squinting and has hair in her eyes ;)

Hudson and Josh tried to do the skim board, but it's a lot harder than it looks.

We got ice cream and ate at the Shrimp Basket two times. Hudson keeps asking to eat at the Shrimp Basket now, he loves fried shrimp.

We took a dolphin cruise one evening. The weather was cool and it was windy, so we had blankets and waited in the cabin some.

A lot of dolphins were out and the kids were so excited to see them! I'm glad they got to experience them close up.

Thanks to Cadie for taking the family pictures.

It was a good week having fun and making memories. We had Kaden ride with us for some of the ride back and Hudson wanted to take pictures.

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
