Easter 2014

On the Thursday before Easter, Gianna and I went to school for an egg hunt and party. Hudson was off of school for Good Friday and the week after. 
 The older kids hid the eggs for Hudson's class to hunt. Gianna was in there finding eggs. 




 All the eggs had candy in them, so everyone got something. We went back to the classroom to have cake and juice then played in the gym. 


 On Easter Sunday, Josh took Hudson to breakfast at McDonald's for his birthday. (which was the next day)

We went to my mom's house for lunch and took some pictures






Nana B gave them each a basket filled with goodies and got a bouncy house to jump in




The moms hid Easter eggs for the kids 


Some eggs had candy and a few had money. Hudson won for the most eggs found and Nash won at a game we play "egg pocking"

 This year we even had a real bunny. Leilynn got a pet rabbit for her birthday. His name is Shadow and Gianna calls him "the Shadow". She was giving him kisses! 


 We sang Happy Birthday to Hudson and had cupcakes. 

 That night we went to the Russo's for crawfish and the kids played outside. Hudson said crawfish is one of his favorite foods. Josh cooks some good ones! 


 Gianna also held one of Papa's chickens. She is getting brave with the animals.

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
