5K & Josh's Birthday

I did my first 5K run at the end of March. Jennifer kept asking me to do it and convinced me to sign up. I have never done anything not even a 1 mile fun run. So, I signed up thinking it was going to motivate me to get running. I did some running, but I wasn't as prepared as I should have been.
The run was at Oak Alley plantation in Vacherie, LA. It was very pretty. They had a craft fair on the grounds after the run too. The course went around the plantation, up the levee and back to the house through the oak trees.

Almost to the finish line!

I didn't jog the whole time, I had to walk some. I didn't expect to do that great, I was just glad to finish. It started out with a big group of girls going, but a lot of them couldn't make it. We had fun with our little group of four.

For Josh's birthday, he requests a cookie cake from the mall. The kids and I went to get it, so he could take his Sunday nap in quiet.
Hudson was so excited about the cake! He helped hold it on the way to the car.

His mom cooked him a birthday dinner. Gianna wasn't feeling good all weekend. It ended up being a fever virus. She slept for a little bit while we were there.
The kids helped blow out the candles. Gianna saw his present and told what it was :) She doesn't know what a surprise is yet.

After having a fever virus for 4 days, Gianna fell off a chair and hit her head on the floor. She recovered quick and was fine. Her hair kind of covers it now.
I had taken Gianna to the doctor on Monday of last week for the fever and then on Wednesday I had to bring Hudson. He had viral pink eye and a hoarse voice. They are doing much better now.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
