End of the Year

Dillon wanted to go 4 wheeler riding when he was down, so we went out to my sister's property and rode. Gianna knows how to drive Hudson's 4 wheeler now, but she doesn't know how to brake! 


 We went through mud and Gianna had it all in her hair. The kids loved it! Hudson wasn't afraid at all, he would go straight through the mud.

 Josh and Dillon put up a swing that the girls got for Christmas. You can fit a couple people on it at one time.

It is quite an adventure with these kids, but always so fun!
Gianna had an ear infection and croup. She has never had either one of those infections before, so she was wanting mommy to hold her a lot. I didn't mind the extra cuddles :) 

 Josh was off of work for 10 days, which was so nice to have him home during the holidays. We did a family day and took the kids to see a movie and then out to eat. 
 It was Gianna's first movie and she did pretty well. We took her out one time when she was getting antsy. 
 Hudson had a great time eating popcorn and m&m's. 
 They said Chinese is their favorite food and we like it too. It was a nice day with all of us together. 

For New Year's Eve we went to Jamie's property for a bonfire, but it started raining shortly after we got there. Everyone tried huddling under tents, but it was cold and the kids couldn't do anything. We decided to go home early.

It wasn't raining at home, so Hudson got to do his fireworks. He was having a blast.

 Gianna, not so much. She was scared and crying. She went inside and stayed in the rest of the night. They did more the next day and she still didn't like them.

Leilynn came and spent the night on Thursday. She helped out with Gianna and read them books. Her and Hudson played games together. It would be nice to have a 9 year old around more often :) 

 Friday was the last day of the Christmas holiday, so Jamie and I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese for some fun. The holidays were busy with family stuff and we didn't do as much fun activities as I wanted. It was a good end to the break.

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
