First Days of School

Hudson had his first day of Pre-K on Friday. Josh took off to go bring him and pick him up. Also, to be moral support for me :) He was doing good at home and a little excited to go.
We walked him inside and he was a little hesitant to go in the gym. The teachers said we could sit with him for a little while. When the bell rang, we said our goodbyes and he was fine. Gianna wanted to stay at school and was disappointed when she had to go.
We waited in the hall for a minute. It's like we didn't want to leave, but we knew we had to. That was the tough part and I cried a little as we left.
His teacher sent us a picture of him saying he was enjoying school and doing well. I also called the office and checked on him half way through the day. They had all good things to say about him. I cried again when I got it because he is growing up :(
We all made it through the first day! He didn't cry or ask for us. I think he is enjoying it. I like hearing about his day and finding out what went on. He is saying some funny things as he talks about it more and more.
On Tuesday, he cried when I walked him in so now we are doing the carpool line. It worked out well today and I hope it continues. It broke my heart to leave him crying.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
