Gianna - 18 months

Gianna went last week for her 18 month well baby check. It seems like she is growing up even faster than Hudson! She amazes me more and more with what she does and says. I can see the differences between a boy and girl already. She is more advanced in her speech than he was, so maybe it makes her feel older.
 Weight - 24 lbs 1 oz (50%)
Height - 33.5 inches (90%)

Tall enough to reach things off the counter now

She is a big talker and we can understand most of what she says. Here are some of the things she can say:

"Whoah!"
"I did it!" or "I got it!"
"I don't know?" (and shrugs)
"Where's daddy?" or "Where's brother?"
"Mama, watch this."
"Here you go." (and hands you something)
" Mama, I want ______". snack, juice, game,eat, etc.
"Dad's at work."

Enjoys being chaffeured by her big brother
She holds hands with Hudson when riding in the car
Closes her eyes to pray, but still looks around
The kids fuss with each other some, but they mostly love each other
Hudson was telling her goodnight and said, "I love you Gianna. You are my best friend."
Her favorite things to watch is Cars, Oso, Mickey Mouse, and Doc McStuffins
Listens and follows instructions well

She helps pick up and clean
Likes going outside to play, ride bikes, and slide

She occupys herself well with looking at books and playing with her dolls. She "reads" book out loud.

She is still a big eater and eats all day! She likes almost everything. Lately she likes apples, grapes, bananas, broccoli, green beans, carrots, pasta, yogurt, turkey, hamburger meat, rice and gravy, crackers, hot dogs, and cheese.

Gianna started "praying" on her own. Hudson is recording her and tells her what to do.
Here she is doing motions for I Love You
This is a sample of her repeating words

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
