Christmas 2012

This Christmas was very busy and a little crazy, but it was fun and memorable at the same time. We had six family functions to go to over five days. We were on the go a lot, but our kids handled it well.

Jen and her family came to church with us on Sunday.

 Christmas Eve at the Russo's

Gianna was so funny when she opened her gifts. She would get a little peek and stop opening. Hudson helped her out a few times.
Hudson got some LOUD drums! It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, he doesn't play all day.

Music time! Grace was singing and Gianna was dancing until she picked up the symbols.
Papa showed Hudson how to play a few things and then sang while Huddy practiced.
Our Christmas morning started with reading the Christmas story and then presents.

She made some funny faces, but I couldn't ever catch it on camera.

Hudson got a big boy bike and G has her own 4 wheeler now. She has been trying to ride Hudson's for a while now.
Christmas night was at my mom's house. This is where it was most crazy- all six grandchildren together!

It was so great to be will all my siblings for a couple days in a row. It's been a year since we were all together.
We went to my dad's house two days after Christmas to get a little break in between.
He was excited about that cash!
Jetta and Gianna had matching shirts, but Gianna didn't want to sit with her for a picture.
Paw Paw Brent with all the grandchildren.
Gianna warmed up and wanted to hug Jetta,
but she is so rough that she knocked her down!

We spent as much time together as possible letting the kids play together. They went to bouncing tigers, watched movies with popcorn, play dough and put on a play.

These two share a love of food- they can do some eating!

 crazy Uncle Dill!
Nash is so funny and outgoing. It was good a compliment to Hudson's shyness.

It is so loud with that many kids! My two are a huge part of that :) They all got along pretty well, but had their share of fighting and not wanting to share.

the most quiet they were all weekend

New Year's Eve

We went with Josh's family ice skating at the River Center. Hudson had never been and it's been three years for me. Papa had to help him around the rink because Josh stayed home with Gianna. After one time, he had enough. He said the skates hurt his feet. He spotted the concession stand and would rather eat popcorn than skate.

He was ready to do some fireworks with Grace.

Hudson stayed up and brought in the New Year, but Gianna went to bed. You pretty much have to put Hudson in bed for him to go to sleep. He does not just fall asleep watching tv or say he is tired.

Isn't it amazing how our lives have changed in just a few years?!? Christmas is so much fun with the little ones and I'm glad we get to spend them with y'all! Next year Gianna needs a piano to go with Hudson's drums :)
Ps. I tried to upload this blog template today and couldn't get it to work. Good thing it didn't or we would've matched :)

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
