Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving was the usual good food and family time.  I didn't get many good pictures, but Cadie took these cute ones. We are so thankful for these two little sweeties! I couldn't imagine our life or our family without them.

We went to the Russo's house for lunch and the kids played outside after.
That night, my family came over to our house. We had pastalaya instead of the usual Thanksgiving meal. Josh did a fire and the kids played together. My mom, Jamie and I went to Target for some black Friday shopping, which was fun. It wasn't so crazy as people think.
On Saturday, we spent the day helping my dad move into his new house. Hudson and the girls played in the boat for hours! It really kept them entertained.

We started decorating for Christmas over the weekend. It took us a few days to get it all done with the kids. They undo and we re-do and they undo it again! Baby Jesus is already missing from the nativity scene :)

Hudson really helped me do a lot of the ornaments and he said it was really fun. I let him stay up after Gianna went to bed to help me. He is excited about all things Christmas. We made some sweet memories together.
Miss G was trying to hang some ornaments, but could not get it. Hudson tried to show her too. Only one ornament broke, so it was a success. She kept saying "wow" about the lights and the outside stuff.

I thought about keeping it more simple this year, but it is worth it to see them get excited.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
