Gianna's party

We had a luau for Gianna's birthday party. It was an indoor luau because it's still hot outside, but then it rained so it worked out well.

We had a hawaiian inspired menu of pork tenderloin, veggie kabobs, citrus salad, meatballs with pineapple, fruit and Hawaiian sweet rolls.

The kid's played in the "balloon lagoon" and had a good time. It was fun for the babies and the older ones.

Then, they did the limbo which was so funny to watch. Gianna would dance to the music and stand right in the way. Leilynn was the only one who could really do it, but Hudson and Emerie tried.

The older kids made an edible lei necklace out of fruit loops and butter cookies

She had a lot of helpers to open presents

Hudson said he wanted to get her a pink dress for her present and I think she liked it :)

She got a cozy coupe car, princess sofa, shopping cart, some small toys, cute clothes and money. It was a nice variety of things.

She didn't really get into her cake much. She would stick one finger in and taste it. So, Josh helped her take a bite. Hudson was eager to taste it and he showed her how to do it, but she wasn't excited about it.

Some pictures from the photo backdrop
Playing with her toys after the party. She really likes pushing her shopping cart around.
It was a fun party and I enjoy planning and decorating for their birthdays. It can be a lot sometimes, but they will only be this age once and I want it to be memorable for them.

Gianna enjoying some of the other gifts this week. Hudson likes all her stuff and is having fun playing with new things.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
