Mall, party and Father's Day

We went to the mall last week to get a gift and Hudson wanted to go to the playground. Josh was nearby, so he came for a little while and took Hudson on the carousel. A quick trip to the mall turned into some quality family time.

Party

Emerie had her birthday party and it was a carnival theme. Hudson got his face painted first. He was so proud of it and didn't want to wash it off.
Then he played the bean bag throw and ring toss

The kids got tickets that they turned in for prizes
A clown showed up (which was my mom). Gianna was very afraid and made that face everytime she saw BeBe the clown.

Gianna even got to play the duck pond game

Father's Day

Josh preached on Sunday and Hudson went up during the message. I always enjoy hearing him speak, but I was in and out a lot with the kids.

Josh is a great Dad to our kids and I'm glad they have him as a role model. He takes Hudson along with him to do "guy stuff" and run errands. He has a magic touch with Gianna and is the only one who can rock her to sleep when needed.
Hudson calls Papa "Pop" a lot of times, so we made him a gift basket with things that have pop in the name like popcorn, soda pop, blow pops, etc.

It was also Nana's birthday on Sunday and we celebrated at Carrabba's

Here are the kids giving Josh his gift that afternoon

He got a road bike a while back, so we gave him some cycling stuff

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
