Gianna - 8 months

Gianna made 8 months 2 weeks ago, but with Hudson's party that week I am just now doing her update. She continues to be a good baby, but is getting closer to not being a baby :( She still seems like a baby in a lot of ways because she is slower on reaching some of her milestones. I mean she has all of the really important ones down, but she is not close to crawling for example.
- wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes and size 4 diaper

-sleeps 12 hours at night and takes 2 naps a day(just dropped the 3rd nap)

 - had her first cold last week and one bad night of sleep from it

 - sitting up good by herself, but falls over

- still not crazy about being on her stomach

-pushes herself backwards on the floor

- starting to reach out for people to hold her

- getting around in her walker

- likes being outside


 - eating some table food like bread and mashed potatoes

- can pick up pieces of food and feed herself

- likes yogurt melts and baby mum mums
 - enjoys playing with Hudson and his toys

- loves her brother and lights up when he comes around
- starting to hold her bottle, but much rather someone else do it

- says ma ma

-very social and smiles at people

 - went in the pool for the first time with Hudson and had a blast!
She splashed and didn't mind the water in her face or eyes. Hudson would jump in the pool and she would laugh.

She is Daddy's little princess!!

Love all the sweet pictures! Her little face is so animated and she reminds me of Hudson in alot of them :) Such a precious baby!

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
