Hudson and Gianna have been reaching some big milestones lately. I'll begin with Gianna. I started baby food after doing cereal for about 3 weeks. I thought maybe it would help with her sleeping problems if it was a hunger issue. (more on that next) She had sweet potatoes as her first food.
Since then, she has had carrots, squash and bananas. She is doing pretty good and opens her mouth for more. I plan on making her baby food soon as I did for Hudson.
I started sleep training with Gianna 2 weeks ago because she was still having trouble going to sleep and rocking wasn't working. It took about a week, but now she puts herself to sleep pretty quick and is taking good naps now. Her bedtime varies and we still have some pretty late nights, like after midnight. Hopefully, this will get better soon. Sometimes, she puts her sleep sack on her face to go to sleep and then I go take it off after.
We took the exersaucer out for her to try. I think she is still a little young for it. After a few minutes, she wants to get out. She is fine with her play mat and bouncy seat for now.
Now, on to Huddy buddy-
We tried potty training last summer before Gianna was born and it wasn't successful. I was about to pick a day and start the process because he will be three in April. One night before bed we talked about it and he said he wanted to start going. The next morning, he put on underwear and went on the potty!!! I guess it finally clicked and he was doing so good with only a few accidents. It's been a little over 2 weeks since he started. He has had more accidents lately, but at least he is on the right track. I have had some very memorable moments during this potty training process that I won't soon forget.
Hudson slept in a big bed at Nana & Papa's house one night because he was getting too big for the pack n play. He did fine there, so we decided to move him out of his crib at home. He cried when Josh took the crib down, but he adjusted to the big bed fine. It helps that we have a video monitor and we can see if he gets out. My little man did a lot of growing up in one week! It was a bitter sweet time for me.
