May 2025

Entergy had a family day on May 3rd at Adventures RV camp ground in Robert, LA
There was a crawfish boil 

They did a BBQ cook off. Josh entered to do ribs and chicken. Derrick was his teammate. 
They won 1st place in chicken and Josh got this nice plaque. 
They had a cinnamon roll breakfast at church for Mother's Day. Josh brought me a coffee from Starbucks.
Mom was out of town on that Sunday, so we took a picture the week before

Josh boiled crawfish for his mom that afternoon. The kids gave me a pedicure gift certificate. I am thankful to have godly mothers in our life and for being blessed with our children!

The Flourish conference was in Pearl River this year. Gianna & Grace wanted to come for the first time. We stayed in Slidell at the Wingate hotel. 
I was a little hesitant that the topics wouldn't be relevant for the girls. Seeing Gianna in worship was worth it and she enjoyed it. The sessions and speakers were great. 
It was a good conference and a good bonding time for us. 
Baby Bowen was born on May 23rd. Cadie was scheduled that afternoon. We went back to see her before. 
The kids were helping keep Cason entertained in the waiting room. 
He got a good report on his cleft lip, it wasn't into his palette. He was eating good and no other issues! 
We got to go see him around 6:30 pm and hold him a little. He is so cute! 

We went back the next day to see him. We think he looks a lot like Josh.

Recital

 Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good.
