January 2024

We hung out with Dillon while he was in town and went to eat a few times

He brought Dax over to play with Camo

Josh got a solo stove for Christmas from his parents. We got to use it a few times.
Hudson is doing shot gun for 4H this year. I went to watch a practice.
Cason was dedicated in church. He has been a joy to the family!
Gianna had to have four teeth pulled at the oral surgeon. They needed to be gone to make room for other teeth. She had IV sedation and was nervous and crying. I was able to wait with her until it started. It went well and her recovery was easy. She was loopy after and saying funny stuff. She kept wanting to fight people, LOL!
Watching archery practice for Hudson. He is in the senior division now and shooting further distances.
We had a freeze on the 15th. It was rain and wintry mix before we went to bed. The low was 19.
There were frozen spots and icicles the next day, but no snow
We had a lot of rain at the end of the month and Hudson was kayaking in the ditch
Josh and I took a turn hosting the youth group on January 27th. We did a game night at the church with nachos. First, they did a scavenger hunt around the church. Grace and Gianna won with the fastest time.
Then they played Oreo roulette with six liquids. They said mustard was the worse combination, but they had a lot of fun.
Charades was the last planned game. We still had time, so they played an intense game of tag around the church.

Hudson started a YouTube channel last month with outdoor content
Hudson went with Papa, Nana, Jen and Kaden to Venice for a fishing trip. They left on Tuesday morning the 30th and came back Wednesday. They stayed at the marina. Hudson caught two red fish and a catfish.
It was Hudson's first time to Venice and he really liked it.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
