December 2023

Jennifer and her family were here for a week before Christmas. We got to hang out and went shopping one day
We got coffee and drinks
Hudson went with Todd and Nash while we shopped
We ate lunch one day with my Dad
Cadie was scheduled for a C-section on December 12th at 4:30 pm. We got to the hospital around 3:30 pm and got to see her before the delivery. He was born at 4:51 pm. 8 lbs 8 oz and 20 1/2 inches. He is a beautiful baby with a head full of hair!
Josh went back to see him the next day and we all went on Thursday to visit. They were going home that afternoon.
So happy for Cadie and Landon!
It is so sweet to have a baby in the family that we can love on
Josh was off for over 2 weeks around Christmas and wanted to go tent camping and try out the gear that he and Hudson have been buying. We went for one night on December 20th at Tickfaw State Park. Josh was very excited that we all were going.
Gianna learned how to set up her tent. The kids each had their own.
We went to see the pond and Hudson stayed to fish
We played Phase 10
The guys had to cut firewood
We brought some, but needed more because it got cold. The low was 37.
Josh cooked chicken on the barbecue
We sat around the fire and played Family Feud card game
Our set up with a canopy and lights
Josh made some bread over the fire
We drank hot chocolate
Cooking breakfast the next morning over the fire and biscuits in the dutch oven
Drinking coffee and waiting on breakfast. Gianna was sleeping late. We are all warm in our tents, with plenty of blankets and hand warmers.
It was a short walk to the bathhouse
Hudson had a photo here in 2017

The view of both campsites (33 and 35). It was a nice spot and not many people were there.
Tent camping wasn't too bad. It was a good time together as a family. I'm really glad we did it!
Drove around the park before we headed home

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
