November 2023

Gianna wanted to see Austin French in concert and he was opening for Danny Gokey on November 4th at Family Church in Lafayette. My mom has always wanted to see Danny Gokey in concert, so I asked her to come. We found good seats in the front  middle area.
Natalie Layne was first, followed by Austin French
Danny came on around 8:15pm and he preached the word and had an altar call. It was a very good concert!
Gianna really enjoyed her first concert! She bought a shirt as a souvenir
We watched the Veteran's Day parade on the 5th
They lose arrows in the yard when shooting their bows. Josh was digging holes all over and finding little trinkets.
We went to watch Gianna in her level class for watch day. Josh always tries to say the French words for the moves and Gianna laughs at him
Took pictures with the fall backdrop at church on the 19th
Josh started feeling bad that day. He had a fever low fever on Monday and started feeling achy and congested. He went to the doctor on Tuesday and tested positive for the flu. Gianna and I started to feel bad on Wednesday, but no fever. We didn't go to any Thanksgiving meals. We didn't want to expose Cadie being pregnant.
It was sad having to stay home. We sat outside drinking coffee by our tabletop fire.
The Russo's fixed plates for us and Josh and Hudson picked it up. It was all very good.
I made the cookies I was supposed to bring
We felt better on Friday and went to my Mom's for dinner.  We went by tractor supply after and the kids sat in this little Jeep
I finally felt like decorating for Christmas the next week

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
