Cadie & Landon's Wedding

The wedding was on July 1st at 7 pm. The girls had to be at the venue early for hair and makeup. We left Port Allen around 7:00 am. Here is the schedule for the day:

Cadie had us a little gift waiting in the room
The hair and make up weren't there and it was getting close to 9:00 am. There was a miscommunication on the time and they came after 11:30 am. We walked around the venue while we were waiting.
Steaming the skirt of Cadie's dress
Hair and makeup got set up. I was first to do make up.
I went for the full eyelashes. I've never had my makeup done before. I was happy with it, even though it was a lot at first.
Mrs. Candice brought us Chic Fil a for lunch
The electricity went out when it was raining. Cadie was getting her make up done.
Gianna was getting her hair done. It didn't last long once we were on generator power. The water well wasn't working so the water was off also.
I did Gianna's makeup myself
The photographer came to start taking pictures
We got dressed while they were taking family pictures
Over in the guys room they were getting dressed
The rain stopped in time to have the ceremony outside like Cadie wanted. Everything worked out! My mom took these:

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
