Cadie's Bachelorette Trip

Cadie and all the bridesmaids took a trip to Waco, Texas from June 1st-4th. Jennifer had matching "Bridesmaid" shirts made for us to wear.

We left around 9:30 Wednesday morning.

We ate at Steak N Shake for lunch. It was good and our first time eating there.

It took us 8 hours to get there

The house that Jen rented was very cute

That night we ate at Chuy's Mexican restaurant

Thursday morning we started at with the coffee shop- Magnolia Press

We had breakfast there

In the Magnolia Home store

Cadie got a free cupcake for being a bride

We had lunch from the food trucks. I ate at this Asian fusion truck.

423 miles to Magnolia

We stood in line a little to get in the bakery

I tried the cookie sandwich

We stopped at a candy store down the street

We went by the original Magnolia store

Back at the house watching Brooke's baby kick

Got ready to go to dinner with our western wear and sashes

We went to Buzzard Billy's

It was on the Brazos River

We walked around after dinner by the river and saw the sunset

We ended the night at Heritage Ice Cream

Friday morning we started with breakfast at Magnolia Table

I ordered eggs benedict over biscuits and so good

It was a really cute restaurant

Then we headed to the Dr. Pepper museum

Dr. Pepper is Cadie's favorite drink so it was perfect

In the liquid lab, Cadie was to create her own drink with different flavors and name it

She named it Love Potion 7122

They had us decorate and wear hats

Everyone got a free drink at the soda bar

We found a mural while driving around

Went to Spice Village, which was a huge shopping area

We found an escape room to do. It was fun and we did escape in time.

Cadie spun the wheel and won $5

We got temporary tattoos of arrows

We got ready to go dinner that night at Ichiban for hibachi

This mural was in the backyard of the house we stayed in

We got coffee at Magnolia Press on Saturday morning before getting on the road. This mural was across the street.

Stopped at Bucee's on the way back. It was such a fun trip. I'm glad we got to spend time together and celebrate Cadie's upcoming wedding!

Recital

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend. Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back" Pointe- "O The Blood" Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers" Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital. This is proof that Hudson went So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different. I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage. Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday. He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday. Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it. Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion. We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna. The beans were an inside joke I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances. Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young. We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas. My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk. I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch. We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville. The food was really good.
