Russo Vacation

The Russo family vacation was to Orange Beach this year from September 13th-September 18th. We had to stop at Bucee's on the way.
The kids wanted to go to the pool and slide right after we checked in.
For dinner that night we went to Doc's Seafood. They have games outside to play. The food was really good.
The kids enjoyed the slide
The girls made recliners and played in the sand
The waves were good. The weather was cloudy and rainy off and on for the week.
It was raining a lot on Wednesday, so we went to an arcade to play games. We also went to Walmart to get board games.
We ate at the shrimp basket that night.
Went in the souvenir shop after dinner.
Gianna got an airbrushed hat
The sun was out on Thursday
The boys did a lot of boogie boarding. Hudson's board broke and he got a new one from Ron Jon's Surf Shop as a souvenir.
Walking with Nana

The boys also brought their metal detectors
Josh brought our lunch out by the pool
Fun on the slide!
They made friends with two little girls at the pool
More souvenir shopping
The employees brought their dogs to work in this store
Friday was the last beach day
we tried to catch crabs at the state park that afternoon, but we didn't catch many
That night we went to The Track to ride go karts
The big wooden track
Hudson could drive himself now!
Gianna rode with Josh
He tried out the new slick track, which he really liked
KK and the grandkids did the bumper boats
They played some arcade games at the end of the night
We did breakfast at the Sunliner Diner before we left on Saturday
It was a good week, despite the weather! Getting to spend family time together is always fun.
The kids were tired on the way home

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
