Gianna's 9th Birthday

We decided to get a waterslide for Gianna's birthday to do something special for the kids since we couldn't do a lot this summer.
It was delivered around 8:00 am and they tried it out immediately
I wanted to start early so they could get the most time with the slide. We did a Sweet Summer Time theme with brunch.
Kids enjoying the slide. Nash and Jetta came in town for the weekend.
The adults trying to stay cool in the shade!
Jules was pouting because she wanted to blow out the candles and Gianna let her help.
She got money, gift card, earrings, dresses, floam and nail polish.
We gave her a new bike
It was nice to have Jen and her kids here
Josh tried out the slide
It was a family party. Doug had Covid so he and Nana B couldn't come.
Nash and Jetta spent the night and they played all the way until 7:30 that night!
Her birthday was the following Tuesday. I took them swimming at Jamie's house.
We got CC's coffee
She wanted Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and Yogurtland
We had to wear masks and gloves to fix the yogurt and take it to go
Josh took her to Waffle House for her birthday breakfast
It's hard to believe this is her last year in single digits! She is growing into a young lady who likes to cook, dance, sing, slime and nails. She is still affectionate to Josh and I. She leaves notes or sends sweet texts to us.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
