Family Cruise

We did a cruise from September 11-16, 2019 on Royal Carribean's Enchantment of the Sea. We drove to Galveston to get on the boat. The kids didn't sleep. We played Family Feud game and watched movies.
Had lunch while waiting for the rooms to be ready
The rooms were a little cramped once the luggage arrived

We had early dinner in the dining room at night

The kids got to swim after dinner

 The ice cream cones began...
pool time

They had some ping pong tables on the pool deck

We did a family scavenger hunt where we gathered items and took pictures of things. Gianna was on Cadie's team with Grace.
We made it back the fastest and won 1st place!

Played a few games in the arcade
 Entertainment at dinner

The rock wall and trampoline jump were closed a lot. We tried one night and they were getting ready for the rock wall and then had to close it because the wind.

The kids went to camp a few times. Hudson didn't want to go at first and cried, but then he had fun.
 Breakfast buffet
Tried the next morning and the rock wall was open.
Hudson goes first
He's almost to the bell and then he started panicking that he couldn't reach it. The instructor had to go up and get him down.
Gianna went up and did great

The first stop was Puerto Costa Maya

We walked around and looked for souvenirs

Gianna got to see her favorite animal

Getting Hudson to take pictures is very hard
The nightly dinners were very nice and the food was really good!
The kids discovered they love shrimp cocktails
When they ordered steak or chicken the waiters would cut their meat for them
We thought Gianna had pink eye and had a runny nose. On the Cozumel stop, she was sleeping really late. We let her sleep and Hudson went on with everyone else.

Gianna felt fine and we got off the boat and met up with Hudson
 Found Coke in glass bottles
The kids really liked the trampoline jump and they weren't scared
Gianna was able to do flips
The last pool day
Josh was over the sun
We took a behind the scenes tour of the ship as an excursion. We went through the kitchen, laundry room, the bridge and control room. Had to wear ear pieces to hear the tour guide.

It was very neat, but it took almost 3 hours and the kids were getting tired of standing

The kids sat in the Captain's chair and look out

Gianna in the dance line on the last night
They looked forward to the towel animals

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
