Life Lately

Our class room time is very interesting at times. They come in wearing pajamas, costumes, and usually no shirt for Hudson.
Gianna understanding how to do 3 digit subtraction with borrowing
Hudson trying to sit in the back and still see the paper
Building interesting snacks and bringing them in for school
We do school outside on the nice days
Both kids played spring soccer. We were glad to see Hudson back.
Their was some very cold mornings, especially game one!
Gianna and Kaden were on the same team. Hudson and Grace started out on the same team, but Hudson was moved up to the older team to be challenged. He did very well!
Josh filled in for Cadie one Saturday. Gianna did well also and we are proud of them!
Hudson hunted a few times, but no deer this season
He does "hunt" around the house. He was waiting on an armadillo to come out.
Gianna is my little sidekick and wants to go with me anytime I leave the house
Hudson came up with an easier way to feed the chickens. He stuck PVC pipe through the wire into the feeder and put a funnel on the end. It actually works, but the feed goes slow and gets stuck sometimes.
They are learning how to clean out the coop now and it reminded me of the top picture taken 4 years ago. They are growing up!
It's a stinky job, but they are doing well

Hudson driving us on the Ranger
Josh cooked a pastalaya for Leilynn's fundraiser to go on a missions trip. It was the first time he cooked for 100 plates. It came out good and the fundraiser was a success.
Hudson made a "slow" sign for our road because the delivery trucks go so fast
He was excited to find some old trucks that belonged to Josh
For two days they wore matching clothes. Gianna really wanted to wear the same thing as Hudson. I had to take a picture and she wanted them to pose by the tractor, ha ha!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
