January 2017

Hudson helping me pick up the tree. He said this could be a mini tree.
We spent New Year's Eve at Jennifer and Mario's house. It was raining so they couldn't do fireworks. We had Leilynn and Emerie with us while their parents were at a party.

They thought they were so fancy with their sparkling grape juice.

So thankful for my little family and looking forward to a new year!

January 6th and 7th had some freezing temperatures and a few snow flurries here. You had to look in the light to really see them.

We cuddled up inside watching tv and made some hot cocoa

Gianna wanted to try out her Easy Bake Oven she got for Christmas. We did chocolate chip cookies that came with it. The cookies tasted horrible! They couldn't eat them, but we had fun making them.
They gave them to Dusty to eat!
Some frozen ice that was in the yard

There was a lot of rain and mud riding for Hudson

Even Gianna got in on the fun. They were sliding down a dirt hill in their uniforms. I wasn't too happy about that! Hudson had a ring of mud stuck to his belt.
Josh and Hudson got a cross bow to share
Gianna made a stage outside and was making up songs

On the last day of deer season, Josh shot his first deer! He was trying so hard for Hudson to shoot one all season and Hudson had a couple chances, but got nervous and couldn't do it. Maybe next year he will be ready. We were so happy for Josh and his dad was there with him to see it!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
