December 2016

The kids helped decorate the tree. We changed the decor this year to a woodland theme. They wanted camouflage, so we comprised on woodland creatures.

The kids had a Christmas concert at school on December 8th

We couldn't see Hudson too well from our seats, but Gianna was right in front. They all did very good.
We went to a walk through nativity at University Baptist. They had several live animals in the scenes.
Their favorite part was the petting zoo. They had bunnies, baby goats, sheep, pony and pigs. They had food to hand feed the animals.
We made and decorated a mini gingerbread village. I didn't realize that the icing wouldn't be dry in one night, so we put them together and decorated the next night. Hudson could assemble the houses by himself and he did a good job!
 It was messy!
They each had two houses to decorate
Then they pretended to eat them
The kids had a Chrismas program at church.
Hudson was Joseph and Gianna was an angel. It was the narrated Christmas story with songs.
Here is the opening song, the whole video was too long
They sang one more song at the end. They did a great job!
We made cookies and candy at Jennifer's house one night
Hudson had a project to do over the break. We had some pictures with Flat Stanley doing some activities.
Hudson and Gianna decorated cookies at home.
Emerie spent the night and they all slept in Hudson's room.
Movie night with popcorn
Riding his go cart and shooting his BB gun
We stayed at the camp two nights during the break.
Hudson shooting his BB gun and Papa giving him some tips
The guys hunted, but didn't kill anything. Hudson fell asleep while waiting in the stand.
We played card games in the camper.
Built a fire and roasted hot dogs over the fire

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
