Summer Fun

Here are the summer activities we have done for the month of June:
Gianna got her nails painted at the nail salon for the first time.

She really enjoyed it, but the nail polish comes off so quickly. We may have to wait until she gets older to do it more.
we saw the youth ballet at the community center
Gianna liked it and Hudson had to tag along too
Nature scavenger hunt in the yard
somehow a shaving cream fight broke out
We went to Mommy & Me at the mall with Nash and Jetta. Leilynn had spent the night with us and she came too. They got balloon animals and a bag of coloring sheets, stickers, etc,
 They made paper hats
They wanted to see how tall they were at the playground

The kids wanted us to wear the hats too
 We all got some popcorn
Later that afternoon, we went to the LSU lake that has the beach. They liked playing in the sand.

 Trying to catch minnows
 Sprinkler fun in the driveway
Hudson and Gianna were doing the Rocket kidz triatholon this year, but it was canceled due to rain. Josh had an idea to do a race at Nana & Papa's house and all the kids could do it. They swam in the pool, ran and rode their bikes in the driveway.

Kaden and Gianna went first. Josh figured out how many laps, they would do, but I can't remember because they were all different.

Little ones on the bike. Kaden is fast on his bike. Gianna was slow, because she hardly ever rides her bike.

 Then Grace and Hudson went

Father's Day pictures

I am very thankful to Josh for being my husband and father of our kids. He is a hard worker and good role model to them!
Our church had VBS this year for a whole week. They were very excited about going.
Jennifer sent me pictures during the week

I went by on Friday for a little while. They had so much fun and learned a lot!

On Sunday, they performed some of the songs from the week.

They really got into the songs and sang so loud, Leah closed her ears!
I ran out of storage and couldn't get the last one, which they loved. They did a great job on all the songs.

Gianna went to her first princess dance camp the last week of June. Her dance school put it on. Grace and Jetta also went the same week.

We carpooled together some of the days

They had a different princess each day, so the girls tried to guess who would be there that day

They also had scriptures and made crafts
Friday was parent watch day. The girls performed two songs and a finale.

I didn't have the best view and people kept leaning in my videos :)

They had a fun week, but Gianna said she was ready to be home with the kittens

So proud of her and her love for dance! She later said she wanted to do the second session
Hudson wanted to know what he was going to do while Gianna was at camp. He found some things to do. Nana & Papa took him and Kaden to the camp one day

Kaden came over to the house to play

He went with Kaden to a K-9 demonstration at the library

We had a mother/son day with lunch and he picked out some cars at the store
He got a chocolate smoothie that he has been asking for

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
